Flow Mapping for ArcGIS JavaScript API

Need the ability to visualize a flow of things on a map?  A new library for the ArcGIS JavaScript API called the Canvas Flowmap Layer allows you to map the flow of objects from an origin point to a destination point using Bezier curves.  The directionality of the flow can be visualized as moving dots too.  Check it out!

While there are a full range of courses, we recommend experienced GIS professionals begin with MAP 672 – Programming for Web Mapping.

In addition to MAP 672, we will also be offering MAP 671 – Intro to New Mapping (focusing on a desktop GIS workflow for web production) as well as MAP 673 – Design for Interactive Web Mapping. Scholarship for Community College Students in Geography

If you are a community college student in Geography that plans on transferring to California State University Northridge (or you just did), here’s a deal you should not pass up.  The Tamborro Scholarship pays all normal university fees to fulltime undergraduate geography majors who will or already have transferred to CSUN from a community college!  What a deal!

CSULB Masters of Science in GIS

We are currently accepting applications to the Masters of Science in Geographic information Science (MSGISci) at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). The MSGISci is a 1-year, 30-unit MS degree program. Classes are offered on weeknights and weekends to accommodate working professionals.
