The SCAG Scholarship Program offers a $4,000 scholarship award for seven high school seniors or community college students from the SCAG region (and potentially two additional scholarship awards that are not tied to a specific county but may be awarded at the Regional Council’s discretion). Recipients may also have the opportunity to meet with elected officials and practicing planners to learn more about careers in public service.
Nominations for the 2023 CGIA Awards are now open. Each year the California Geographic Information Association recognizes outstanding achievements in the GIS profession within California. CGIA awards are open to any person in the State of California. An award is an outstanding way of recognizing individuals and programs in the GIS community for their efforts in the education, implementation, and advancement of GIS.
