CSU San Marcos GIS Day

CSU San Marcos is having a GIS Day on April 17, 2013.  Students, staff, faculty, and community members are welcome.  Free pizza provided!  Come learn about how GIS is used by local and national organizations, such as the City of San Marcos and the U.S. Geological Survey, and here on campus, in your classes and for campus mapping.  Find out more about careers which utilize GIS. After the event, join us for a campus-based geocaching adventure!  Meet outside the front door of the Field House at 1:45.

SoCalGIS Meeting on May 9th, 2013

Mark your calendars!  Our next SoCalGIS meeting will be on May 9th, 2013 from 9am to 11:45 am at Culver City’s City Hall, 9700 Culver Blvd, Culver City, CA, in the City Council Chambers.  Free underground parking.

Culver City will be hosting and showing us what they have been doing with GIS.  There is also room for presentations by others, so if you want to present as well, just contact Michael Carson at mcarson@burbankca.gov or 818-238-5114.
