Calling all students! The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is currently accepting abstracts for a student showcase at our annual Regional Conference and General Assembly on May 4 and 5 in Palm Desert. SCAG is looking for outstanding student work in two categories: sustainability planning posters and ESRI Story Maps using SCAG data. This showcase will allow students to network and share their research with more than 1,000 elected officials, planning practitioners and various public, private and non-profit leaders from across Southern California. Students whose submissions are selected will be awarded free conference registrations and hotel stay at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert. Entrants in the SCAG/ESRI Story Maps Challenge will also be competing for $2,000 in total prize money. The deadline is fast approaching – submit soon!
To assist students in participating, ESRI is hosting free training at SCAG’s main headquarters Friday (April 7th) from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
