The 2016 ESRI User Conference got off to a great start today in beautiful downtown San Diego.
Instead of giving you a blow by blow of what happened today in the Plenary, you can just watch it here.
I will mention a new app that ESRI will be releasing soon. It will be for exploratory analytics, and not just for GIS geeks. It will be visual, intuitive, and responsive. It will perform dynamic spatial analytics and visualizations, and will be very fast. It will also have linked and responsive charts and maps. The new app will be released this year and will be a premium solution (you have to pay for it) for on premises or ArcGIS Online. However, if you are a local, state, or federal government that has an ELA with ESRI, then you get the on premises version for free! Watch this video (scroll to 10:02) to hear more about it.
Also by next week, ArcGIS Pro 1.3 will be released. By the end of the year, ArcGIS 10.5 and ArcGIS Pro 1.4 will be released.
Oh yeah, Jack also announced that all self paced e-learning virtual campus training will all be free soon! The courses are here.
