The City of Fontana has an opening for a GIS Supervisor. Under direction of the Innovation and Technology Director, the GIS Supervisor positions, plans, and directs the overall GIS activities for the City; serves as primary City authority and champion for all policies and procedures related to Geographic Information Systems operations and services, as well as all support technology.

The GIS Supervisor guides and shapes the City’s geographic information systems. Working alongside a team of GIS and IT professionals, the GIS Supervisor ensures the City uses modern GIS technology to meet the demands of a growing city. On any given day you could work with the Public Works or Police Department staff to ensure their core applications are integrating with the GIS systems. As the GIS Supervisor, you work with all City staff and provide leadership and direction for all GIS systems. This is a critical role in the organization and your work directly contributes to the success of the city.
