Earth Science Visual Storyteller Position at JPL

Do you have a passion for Earth Science and want to share it with the world through your creative storytelling? Are you a master storyteller who can simplify complex Earth science concepts and use visualization and related technology to provide a deeper understanding of Earth science processes and how it can benefit society?

JPL’s Earth Public Engagement Office has an opportunity for you to help recommend, demonstrate and procure emerging visualization technologies, both hardware and software, that can be incorporated into JPL’s Earth science visualization capabilities and ensure they remain on the leading edge of visual storytelling technology.

As the Senior Earth Science Visual Storyteller, you will work closely with the JPL Earth Science, Visualization and Communications communities to create and display compelling visual stories using the latest technology available at JPL. Working directly with the scientists, their data and results, and the public engagement team for storytelling review & sourcing additional video, stills and graphics, these stories will be presented on various mediums including PowerPoint presentations, video walls, Earth globes, and a 3D projection system in JPL’s Earth Science Center (ESC) and when appropriate made available for distribution online through the Office of Communications and Education.
