GIS Positions at Loma Linda University Health

Loma Linda University Health is creating a new GIS Department and is looking for a GIS Administrator and a GIS Developer.

The GIS Administrator is responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS infrastructure. Leads and coordinate workflow-related issues/design, build and test interfaces between disparate systems, and support production solutions. The GIS Administrator leads and facilitates defining/documenting requirements using structured analysis methods, coordinates data analysis, and design training sessions, as needed. This position demonstrates strong technical acumen and communications skills, delivers technical solutions to business problems, and interact successfully and effectively within IT department, with Business Analysts, business SMEs, GIS Developer and leaders. Position requires strong technical knowledge in all areas of system development life cycle, database management and requires extensive experience using development tools such as JavaScript, Python, and Internet protocols. This role will also require some experience with web development tools to assist GIS Developer including JavaScript, CSS, JSON, ASP, .NET, XML and HTML as appropriate. Must be able to demonstrate experience in multiple ESRI products such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS Online, ArGIS Spatial Database Engine, administration, ESRI Geoportal Server, ArcGIS API, ESRI Leaflet, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

Leads and coordinate workflow-related issues/design, build and test interfaces between disparate systems, and support production solutions. The GIS Developer leads and facilitates defining/documenting requirements using structured analysis methods and coordinates data analysis and design training sessions, as needed. This position demonstrates strong technical acumen and communications skills, delivers technical solutions to business problems, and interact successfully and effectively within the IT department, with Business Analysts, business SMEs, GIS Administrator, and leaders. Position requires strong technical knowledge in all areas of application development life cycle, database management and requires extensive experience with using development tools such as JavaScript, Python, internet protocols, and mobile web deployment. This role will also require experience with web development tools including JavaScript, CSS, JSON, ASP, .NET, XML and HTML as appropriate. Must be able to demonstrate experience in multiple ESRI products and tools such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, Web AppBuilder, ArcObjects, geoprocessing, Runtime, ArcGIS API, Leaflet, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
